THE CHALLENGE

The owners of Adesso were looking to create a new brand for a restaurant located in Valletta, as well as a website and several graphic design elements.

THE SOLUTION

Time is a precious gift and we should make the best out it. At times, we find ourselves reminiscing about the past, or making complex plans about our future. These both extremes may impede us to live and enjoy today. Adesso aims to give diners the opportunity to stop time for a moment, and enjoy a carefully prepared meal in a serene and elegant ambience. The name of the bistro (which means “Now”) represents the motto to live the moment, or in other words Carpe Diem. To truly enjoy the “Now”, time should not be an interference, so to represent this state, the minute hands were removed from a number of carefully selected clocks.

These clocks feature greatly in the design of the website as well as in other print material. The concept is also embodied in the logo, which shows a clock with no hands, having time stand still and allowing people to live in the moment.
